699 1846 Wrightman Sacred to the memory of Matilda, the beloved wife of G. Wrightman, Assistant Apothecary, who departed this life on April 17th 1846, aged 25 years. Full many a flower is born to blush unseen, | And waste its sweetness on the desert air.
700 1853 Maclntyre Sacred to the memory of Mr. R. MacIntyre, who departed this life on the 24th October 1853, aged 20 years and 10 months.

706 1871 Dobbs Erected by sorrowing parents, brothers and sisters to the memory of Charles Alfred Dobbs, son of Major General Dobbs, Madras Army, Deputy Conservator of Forests. Born August 9 1843, died April 9 1871. Thy will be done.
707 1871 Rogers Sacred to the memory of Gilbert Henry Fraser Rogers, C. E, late Assistant Engineer, Mysore Public Works Department, and eldest son of M. Rogers, Esq., Deputy Inspector General of Hospitals, Retired, H. M. I. S., Madras Presidency. Died at Shimoga on the 14th July 1871, aged 23 years and 9 months.
708 1874 Smith Joseph Smith, late Drum Major, 102nd R. M. Fusiliers. Born 12 October 1843, died 4th July 1874. Lo! he sleepeth.
709 1875 Dobbie In memory of George Staple Dobbie, Mysore Revenue Survey,—eldest Son of Col. G. Staple Dobbie, Madras Army,—Who died at Shimoga on the 6th of May 1875 from injuries received from a tiger which he had mortally wounded near Malur four days previously. Aged 31 years. Rejoice, for the Lord brings back his own.

Rice, B. Lewis. (1906) List of European Tombs and Monuments in Mysore, with the Epitaphs and Inscriptions Thereon. Bangalore. (OIOC R/2/17/106) — Rice compiled his list at the request of the Mysore government, which was impressed by such recent publications of Cotton (1905) on the Madras tombs. To his very great credit, Rice recorded and published all graves in the European cemeteries, not just those of the rich, famous, or unusual.
